What is a Bug Hunt?

A bug hunt is a fun adventure where you become a bug detective! You get to explore outside, use your super seeing skills (like an owl!), and meet all sorts of wiggly, crawly friends.
What Do We Need?
A magnifying glass: This is your bug detective tool! It helps you see the details of a bug, like its tiny legs or sparkly wings. (Remember, we look but don’t touch some bugs, just like we wouldn’t touch a hot stove!)

A bucket (with holes in it!): This is your bug hotel (fancy word for a temporary home). We don’t want to keep the bugs forever, so the holes let them crawl out safe and sound after we finished looking at them.
A comfy mat: Because sometimes the best bug detectives sit quietly and wait for their wiggly friends to come out and say hello!

Pick Your Spot: Look for a place where plants and flowers. Bugs love to munch on yummy leaves and hide in colorful petals.
